The Battle for Alterac Valley - /Sigh... 12/2/09
It is hard to believe it was the same Alliance fighting in Alterac Valley today, after the battles we had in there yesterday. Yesterday we won 23 battles and lost 2. Today we won 14 battles and lost 21... It is just hard to believe the Alliance is so inconsistent in there. I fought all these battles on Wranngar and got a lot of kills but that's where the positive ends.
We did everything wrong, took SHGY at the start and held it like it meant something, didn't defend towers, lost the East and West Frostwolf Towers to the Horde time and again because people weren't guarding them, they were too busy standing on noob hill in front of the keep. We lost the Relief Hut countless times for the same reason. In battle after battle it looked like were were going to have a victory, we were capping the towers in FWK and had IBT & TP capping only to have someone take SHGY and get us all wiped out and sent back to Dun Baldar. This happened time and again. When I was in FWK guarding a tower or the RH I would just wait until the Herald announced "The Alliance has attacked Stonehearth Graveyeard", which marks the beginning of the end. No matter what anyone said people would take it. Then you have the quitters, the people who quit because someone did something after they said not to or just quit when the going gets bad. Good riddance I say, we don't need you.
There was one battle where everyone actually followed the plan, by everyone I mean over 90% of the people that were not AFK. We had A LOT of AFK in all the battles. You will not get all the people to follow any plan, maybe some people can't read, maybe some people think they can win solo in a 40x40 battleground so they follow their own plan, but 90% is a like a record for the Alliance. We won that one easily. If only we could have that kind of response in every battle.
Hopefully this was just a nightmare and the next time I am in there we will do better with people that can actually think, reason, and follow a plan.
